Crazy Town Frontman Shifty Shellshock Dies at 49

Shifty Shellshock, the co-founder and frontman of the American rap-rock band Crazy Town, best known for their 2000s hit "Butterfly," has died.

Binzer, whose real name was Seth Binzer, died at his Los Angeles home on Monday, June 24, at the age of 49. The cause of death is under investigation.

Crazy Town was formed in 1995 and rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their debut album, "The Gift of Game." The album featured the hit single "Butterfly," which reached number one on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and helped propel the band to international success.

Binzer was known for his energetic stage presence and his distinctive rapping style. He also appeared in several films and television shows, including "Celebrity Deathmatch" and "CSI: Miami."

Crazy Town released several more albums throughout the 2000s, but never quite recaptured the success of their debut. The band officially disbanded in 2013.

Binzer's death is a loss for the music industry and for his fans around the world. He was a talented musician and a charismatic performer who helped to define the sound of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
